So, I haven’t blogged. And I wish I could say that it’s because I was busy planning a huge feast. But, I wasn’t. Marie cooked today (Marie Callendar that is). And it was delish!
We had Aunt Brandy, Unlce Jerry, Kristen & Brian over today. And it was a very pleasant day.
The question is, what the heck *have* I been doing? And the answer is pretty short. Packing. I’ve been packing. I’ve been sorting and stuffing and boxing it all up. We are set to close on a new home next Friday. We haven’t really been advertising this fact because with the way the economy is, nothing is for sure… In fact, there are still a couple small hurdles to get through before the week is done. But, it’s getting close enough that I’ve had to face facts and get with the work. We’d planned on having a yard sale, but decided that donation was our route this time around.
And I’ve been trying to load up a box or two a day. I think I’ll have to increase that this week. So, don’t expect any monumental blogs until we’re in our new digs.
In addition to this, I have been getting things lined up for a second RAD Crafts show. Brian has the site up and running (www.radcrafts.com) if you need to order anything (hint, hint). But, not nearly everything is posted on there. I made a lot of my items one of a kind and think that I should stick to selling them at the shows. Our second show is this Saturday. If you haven’t become a fan of RAD Crafts on Facebook, what are you waiting for? Become our friend and you’ll be in the loop for all the goings on. And, it’ll be an excellent boost for my ego, too! After this show, we’ll pack that stuff all up and be off for a couple weeks before we do an event on Dec. 10 & 11.
Oh, and because it is Thanksgiving and all… I *must* post a quick list of things that I’m thankful for right now… none of the mushy kids and husbands bit, y’all know that already…
*DVRs and their ability to entertain me, my husband and children on demand
*Car warranties & loaner cars
*That one spot on the couch that fits me just right
*The radio station that plays all Christmas music all the time
*The show Parenthood that makes me feel normal
*The new families in my class this session that make me so excited for some very lucky foster kiddos
*The new space that will come with our move
*The limitless imagination of my children
I could go on and on, but those were on the top of my mind.
I truly wish each and everyone of you a wonderful Thanksgiving (or whatever day you read this on!).
